Classroom Expectations                                                                  Mrs. Harmon

                                                                                                                     (dharmon@concordps.org)

What do I need to bring to class?

  • A fabulous attitude
  • Pencils (with erasers)
  • Notebook (preferably graph paper)
  • Scientific calculator with your name on it

What will homework be like?

  • Homework will be assigned every night. Expect it and budget your time!
  • Full credit on the day it is due (with full effort shown)
  • ½ credit for 1 day late; no credit after 1 day
  • Do not spend more than 30 minutes on one assignment
  • If you are having trouble email me (dharmon@concordps.org) or come see me.

When can I come for extra help?

  • I am available in the mornings before school (7:40) or after school when not in   season (I coach track and cross country)

What is considered “good” conduct?

  • PARTICIPATE! Math is a doing subject, you cannot learn by sitting on the sidelines and watching. Get involved!
  • Support your classmates. Behavior that impedes learning will not be tolerated, including teasing and put-downs.
  • Our class time is precious. If you must leave to use the restroom, do so quietly by signing out and taking the pass. You MUST include times out and in on the sign-out sheet. No checkmarks!

How will I be graded?

  • 85%:  Tests (2x quiz), quizzes, projects (1.5x quiz)
  • 15%:  Homework/Classwork

I have read and understand these classroom expectations
