Friday, October 27- C DAY

The Media AV Club will have available Halloween Photo Booths at all lunches, both buildings. Because of this, and because of the 7th/8th grade Halloween Dance tonight, we are sharing with students that today is the day we are as a school celebrating Halloween and students can wear their costumes. They may also wear costumes on Tuesday!!

7/ 8 grade Halloween Dance is TONIGHT from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Sanborn cafeteria.  Tickets are $10.00 each and will be sold at the door.  Costumes  are welcome!! Please come to school in appropriate costumes(no full masks or fake weapons). Also, there will be a Boston bus leaving @ 9:00 pm going to Franklin Park. Please sign up in the office if you are interested in taking the bus.

Flag Football meets TODAY for 7/8 graders at Sanborn from 2:30-3:40.

Monday: A seventh grader from Peabody proposed that all CMS participate in a Pink Out — a PINK spirit day to raise awareness for breast cancer.

Tuesday: Two seventh grade groups from Sanborn and Peabody have registered Concord Middle School as an official Mix It Up Model School to join thousands of other schools across the country in Mix-It-Up lunch. We will be organizing the cafeterias (both buildings) very differently on Tuesday and challenging (through an activity) students to sit with new groups.

Wednesday through Friday: CMS students can bring in their unused/unwanted Halloween candy to a bin located in the main lobby of either school. The candy then gets packaged (with toothbrushes) for United States Service men and women. A local dentist’s office packages the candy for the troops and matches the total pounds of candy that our school brings in and donates the same amount of HEALTHY food to a food pantry of our choice.

The CMS Coats for Kids Club needs your help! Their annual Anton’s Cleaners Coats for Kids drive is underway! Our goal this year is to collect 500 coats!! Please consider donating any gently-used coats for the needy this winter. The drop off box is by the office at both Peabody and Sanborn. We accept any size coat, from infant snowsuits to over-sized adult, but please do not donate clothing other than winter coats – no scarves, hats, gloves, mittens or snow pants. The Drive runs until January 8th, 2018. If you receive a new coat for the winter consider donating your old coat to Coats for Kids.  Who will collect the most coats, Peabody or Sanborn?!! Thank you very much for your generosity!
