Tuesday, October 3 – D DAY

Back to School Night for Peabody is Thursday, October 5 from 6:45-8:30 pm.

Are you interesting in getting to know kids from Hawaii?Would you like to create and edit your own videos and film shorts? Does “skyping” with a media class from Kauai to learn more about the exciting work they do with film sound like fun? The Concord Kauai Connection Club will meet on Wednesdays (mostly) after school in Ms. Funaki’s room 206 at Sanborn. Please sign up in the front office for more information.

The CMS LGBTQ+/ALLIES CLUB welcomes ALL PEOPLE to learn, discuss, and celebrate diversity within our community. Our first discussion will be about how to make CMS a more loving and accepting community. Our first meeting is on Wednesday October 11 and October 25 from 2:30-3:30 in room 201 at Sanborn.

Flag football meets again on Wednesday for ⅞ graders at Sanborn until 4:30.

Coats for Kids Club meets on Wednesday from 2:30-3:40  in the Sanborn FACS room. Join us in planning our annual coat drive.  ALL ARE WELCOME!!

Animals and Planet Club​ next meeting is Wednesday,​ 10/4 from 2:30-3:40 in the Sanborn Main Lab (​and every other Wednesday). The Animals and Planet club is part of Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots organization. We create and plan projects that make positive changes happen for animals, the environment and our communities.  Plan to take the 3:40 late bus or have a parent pick you up at 3:40.

Science Olympiad: There will be an informational meeting about Science Olympiad on Wednesday, October 4th from 2:30 – 3:40.  The following week, the regular Science Olympiad meetings begin and go from 2:30 – 4:30 every Monday & Wednesday.  Come to Room 108 at Sanborn to find learn more about Science Olympiad.  If you are unable to attend the first meeting, contact Ms. Moss.  All are welcome.

Magic the Gathering will meet Thursday after school until 3:30. Both new and experienced players welcome!

Media AV Club starts this week.  The club will meet in The Chorus Room (119), every other Thursday beginning Thursday October 5, from 2:30-3:30. We will learn how to use AV recording equipment, run the microphones and sound for the school assemblies and the musical, and create videos and pictures for the hallway TV screens.  Just show up, if you are interested.

Picture Day is on Thursday, October 19 in both buildings.
