March 3, Principal’s Update

Dear CMS Families,

We have heard anxiety stemming from the national conversation regarding how we will educate and provide access to all students. The Concord Middle School, as well as all the Elementary Schools and Concord-Carlisle High School, will continue to live by our values of openness and educational opportunity for all Concord students. This means we will continue to provide access and choice for all students regardless of gender identification, religion, immigration status, race or other differences to meet their social, emotional and academic needs.

The CMS Facilities Planning Committee would like to invite you to join them in envisioning the Concord Middle School campus of the future — Monday, March 13, 6:30pm, in the Peabody Forum.  On behalf of the Concord School Committee, the CMS Facilities Planning Committee is currently undergoing a study of our middle school buildings.  This is the first step in planning for an eventual renovation or re-build.  As part of envisioning what each of these options could entail, they would like to solicit input from parents and the community on what we would like to see in a future middle school facility.  Please join them for a discussion facilitated by Finegold Alexander Architects to share your thoughts, ideas, and input.
