Thursday, March 2-B DAY

CMS Houses 2 and 5 ask the burning question, “What’s yo talent?” A group of girls from Peabody and Sanborn have come together to create the CMS talent show. We would love if you would sign up and create an act. The talent show is March 24 at 6:30-8:00 PM at the Sanborn auditorium. The sign ups are at the offices in both buildings. The preview of your act is Monday and Tuesday the 9th and 10th right after school at 204 Sanborn, and the dress rehearsal is Tuesday the 21st of March.

Intramural Dodgeball meets today from 2:30-4:30 in the Sanborn gym. We meet every Monday and Wednesday except for this week we meet today. These are the following meeting dates: March 2, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29 and April 3 and 5th.

Media AV Club meets today after school in room 102 at Sanborn. CCTV will be training us in field camera use and we will have fun taking footage of each other and around school. New members are welcome to drop in.

Math Team has their 4th meet today at Framingham! Team members, be on the look out for a google doc and parents please send your permission email to Ms. Helinski. Practice will resume next week! Go Team!

Model UN meets again TODAY in Room 203 at Sanborn from 2:30-3:40.  It is our last meeting before the Bentley University Conference on Saturday, March 18.  Please check the Model UN Google Classroom or your school email for any updates.

Chef Club meets TODAY from 2:30-4:30 in the Sanborn FACS room.

Intramural Volleyball begins on Friday, March 3 from 2:30-4:30 in the Sanborn gym. We will also meet on the following days:Thur / Fri March 9 and 10, Monday, Mar 13, Thur / Fri March 16 and 17,Thur / Fri March 23 and 24,Thur / Fri March 30 and 31,Thur / Fri April 6 and 7th.

The Concord Police Department will be sponsoring RAD self-defense class for 7th & 8th grade females. RAD or Rape Aggression Defense program is a realistic self-defense program teaching risk reduction and avoidance strategies, including hands-on defense training. RAD is not a martial arts program. RAD consists of four classes using simple and easy to learn techniques, providing an effective and proven method of self-defense for females. RAD classes will be held on Monday March 27, 4:00 PM-6:00 PM, Tuesday March 28, 6:30-8:30PM, Wednesday March 29, 6:30-8:30PM, and Monday April 3, 6:30-8:30 PM. It is time to order your 2016-2017 Concord Middle School Yearbook!  The yearbook includes photos from all grades and is a great way to remember your year at CMS.  The cost of the yearbook is $20 each if ordered by 3/12/17.  The price increases to $24 on 3/13/17.   The final deadline to place orders is Thursday, April 6.  There will be NO yearbooks sold after 4/6/17.  PLEASE TAKE CAREFUL NOTE:  We do not order extra yearbooks to be sold at the end of the year.  So, please make sure to place your order promptly. Magic the Gathering meets every Monday in room 102 at Sanborn from 2:30-3:40.
