October Reading Spook-a-thon! Check out a spooky book or mystery, then read, review, and rate it on the DESTINY library catalog to get your name in the cauldron for a halloween drawing. Instructions for reviewing/rating books on Destiny is on our libguide site. Questions? Stop by the library.

Attention 8th Graders! Today, Minuteman will be coming to present to you on their program. Peabody students will meet in the cafe during 6th period. Sanborn students will meet in the auditorium 7th period. If you are interested in attending Minuteman, please see your guidance counselor after the presentation for more info.
Dungeon and Dragons will not meet this week
7/8 grade Halloween Dance is on Friday, October 28 from 7:00-9:00 pm in the Sanborn cafeteria. Tickets are $5.00 each and will only be sold at the door. Costumes are welcome!! Please come to school in appropriate costumes (no full masks or fake weapons). Also, there will be a Boston bus leaving @ 9:00 pm going to Franklin Park. Please sign up in the office if you are interested in taking the bus.
Student Leaders are having a Halloween decoration contest! Please bring in any Halloween decorations you have to your homeroom teacher, by Friday, October 28th. We are using these decorations to decorate the homeroom doors, the photo booth, and the dance! The homeroom with the most decorations will earn points that can help your homeroom win the cup at the end of the year. If you would like your decorations back, please label them with your name, and let us know.
Lego Robotics: Meets every Thursday and Friday from 2:30 – 4:30 at Sanborn in room 108. If you have any questions contact Ms. Moss at smoss@concordps.org.
Student Leaders are hosting a Halloween Photo Booth on Friday, the 28th of Oct. during 6th,7th and 8th grade lunch in the cafe. For your chance in the photo booth, please bring $1 to support the charity that the student body will choose later in the year! To get in the Halloween spirit, feel free to wear your costumes to school. All costumes must be school appropriate and no weapons.
Flag football meets on Mondays for 6th graders and on Wednesdays for ⅞ graders and Thursday for 6th graders. We will meet on the Sanborn field until 4:30. This is the last week for Flag Football.
Math Team meets every Thursday from 2:30-3:40 in room 205 at Sanborn.
Model United Nations will meet again Thursday, Oct 27th in Sanborn Library from 2:30-3:40. Any students is welcome to join the club, grades 6-8. Media Audio Visual Club: will meet this Thursday, October 27th from 2:30 -3:30. This week Peabody Media AV students will meet Mr. Riv outside of conference room 1 and Sanborn students will meet with Ms. MacKenzie in the Sanborn cafe. We will be working with student leaders to decorate the photobooths, and will be working on content for the Lobby TV monitors.
Chef’s Club doesn’t meet this week.
Math Counts meets every Friday at Sanborn in room 101 from 2:30 to 3:40. Students who enjoy mathematics prepare for and participate in a regional math tournament solving problems as a team and as individuals.
