Principal’s Update, October 14

Dear CMS Families,

CMS is now on Instagram and Twitter!  Links can also be found on the school’s website.

We have noticed many students carrying their laptops around without their cases. Please remind your students to use those cases. Replacements for broken laptops are expensive and it is the student’s responsibility to return laptops to the school in the condition in which they were issued. The CMS 1:1 Laptop Expectations and Loan Agreement clearly outlines these responsibilities.

Minuteman High School will be presenting their high school program to 8th graders on October 27th. They will present to during a portion of 6th and 7th periods at Peabody and Sanborn respectively. All 8th-grade students are expected to hear the presentation even if they do not intend on applying to the school.

The Willard PTG is hosting Mindfulness for Parents on the evening of November 2. Parents are welcome to attend. The flyer is linked above.

On Monday, we will begin“CMS Stands Together,” our anti-bullying curriculum. These lessons have been adapted from the “Bully Proofing” curriculum to fit CMS. There are a total of 5 lessons delivered over the course of 6 weeks. The focus is on building a positive and caring school culture as well as outlining the rules around bullying and harassment.
