High fives to the Math Team on a successful meet in Framingham yesterday. Our fearless warriors tied for first against our arch rival Sudbury (GRR)! Despite sharing first place, Concord had the most top scorers of the competition! Charles Crounse (8th), Rachel Dettlebach (7th) and Lucas DeGreef (6th) were the top scorers in their respected grades. Of the three, Charles had a perfect score of 18! WAY TO GO TEAM! Practice next Thursday. Same time, same place.

Science Olympiad meets Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in preparation for the state meet.  Please return the permission slip and a check for $11 made payable to CMS to Ms. Moss as soon as possible.

The CMS Engineers Club will be hosting our next Science-on-Saturday trip to MIT on Saturday March 5. The topic will be “Materials with Magical Properties” and we will visit the MIT Museum after the presentation. Pick up an information and permission slip in the office.

Pokemon Club meets again on Monday, February 29 in the Sanborn FACS room until 3:40.

Creative Writing meets on Monday, February 29 in the room 104 at Sanborn until 3:40.

Dodge ball will meet every Monday for 7/ 8 graders and Wednesdays for 6th graders. We will meet in the Sanborn gym from 2:30-4:30.

Intramural Volleyball meets in the Sanborn gym, and meet on Thursdays and Fridays from 2:30 – 4:30 until April 1.  Students need to have a ride pick them up at 4:30, not later, or plan to take the bus home.

Art Club starts Monday, March 7 and will meet in Art Room 126 at Sanborn every Monday until 3:40 for six consecutive weeks. Everyone is welcome to stretch, explore and share! Sign up sheets will be posted this week outside the office at Sanborn and in the office at Peabody. The final roster will be posted on Monday, February 29.

Model UN’S next meeting is Thursday, March 3. This is the final meeting before the Bentley Conference on Saturday, March 5th. Please see or email Mr. Robbins or Mr. Murphy with any questions.

Animals and Planet Club meets again on Wednesday, March 9th (every other Wednesday) from 2:30-3:40 in the Sanborn Main Lab. One of our projects this year will be a photo, artwork contest and silent auction to support Audubon’s Drumlin Farm. Join us and bring your ideas. Plan to take the late bus or have a parent pick you up at 3:40.
