The Concord Police Department will be sponsoring RAD self-defense class for 7th & 8th grade females. RAD or Rape Aggression Defense program is a realistic self-defense program teaching risk reduction and avoidance strategies, including hands-on defense training. RAD is not a martial arts program. RAD consists of four classes using simple and easy to learn techniques, providing an effective and proven method of self-defense for females. RAD classes will be held on Monday March 27, 4:00 PM-6:00 PM, Tuesday March 28, 6:30-8:30PM, Wednesday March 29, 6:30-8:30PM, and Monday April 3, 6:30-8:30 PM. Animal and Planet Club meets TODAY from 2:30-3:40 in the Sanborn Main Lab.
It is time to order your 2016-2017 Concord Middle School Yearbook! The yearbook includes photos from all grades and is a great way to remember your year at CMS. The cost of the yearbook is $20 each if ordered by 3/12/17. The price increases to $24 on 3/13/17. The final deadline to place orders is Thursday, April 6. There will be NO yearbooks sold after 4/6/17. PLEASE TAKE CAREFUL NOTE: We do not order extra yearbooks to be sold at the end of the year. So, please make sure to place your order promptly. Intramural Dodgeball begins TODAY from 2:30-4:30 in the Sanborn gym. We meet every Monday and Wednesday except for the 1st week we will meet on Wednesday and Thursday. These are the following meeting dates: March 1, 2, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29 and April 3 and 5th.
Media AV Club will meet this Thursday after school in room 102 at Sanborn. CCTV will be training us in field camera use and we will have fun taking footage of each other and around school. New members are welcome to drop in.
Math Team has their 4th meet this Thursday at Framingham! Team members, be on the look out for a google doc and parents please send your permission email to Ms. Helinski. Practice will resume next week! Go Team!
Model UN meets again on Thursday, March 2 in Room 203 at Sanborn from 2:30-3:40. It is our last meeting before the Bentley University Conference on Saturday, March 18. Please check the Model UN Google Classroom or your school email for any updates.
