Friday, January 27 – C DAY

The Girls Who Code club will not hold a regular meeting Monday, January 30th because of the field trip. Those attending the trip should meet in the Sanborn lobby immediately following dismissal. The bus will depart promptly at 3:00 pm real time.

Band, Chorus and Orchestra Students going to the Junior Districts Auditions this Saturday: Please meet Ms. Anderson at the CCHS Cafeteria (near the music wing) at 12:15. The bus will leave for Needham at 12:30. We will return to CCHS around 4:15. If you have any questions please ask your music teacher.

Green Team meets again on Wednesday, February 1 in Ms. Shea’s Art room from from 2:30-3:30 pm. New members are welcome. If you have questions please see Ms. Moran at Peabody or Ms. Shea at Sanborn.

GREEN DAY is coming! Wear as much green as possible on Thursday, February 2 to support your CMS Green Team, and to promote the Cooler Concord Fair on Saturday February 4.  Points will be counted toward the Homeroom Cup.

 Chef’s Club’s  first meeting time will be Thursday Feb 2nd  from 2:30-4:30 in the Sanborn FACS room.  We will meet on 4 dates: Feb 2, 9, 16 and March 3. Only sign up if you can attend ALL 4 Thursdays!!  There is room for 20 students: 10 from Sanborn, 10 from Peabody. Students will be RANDOMLY picked from the list of students who sign up.

Intramural basketball we will meet every Thursday and Friday from 2:30-4:30 in the Peabody gym.  These are the additional meeting dates:  1/27, 2/2 and 2/3.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Stern or Mr. Rubin. Take  bus 14 at dismissal to Peabody.

MODEL UN: Any student who wants to attend the Bentley Conference MUST bring in a $50 check made payable to CMS by Thursday, February 2.  Students can give checks to Mr. Robbins, Mr. Murphy or to Ms. Moran or Ms. Bordonaro in the main offices.

The next Saturday Science field trip to MIT will be held on Saturday February 4 departing Sanborn at 9:00 am. The subject will be “Developing Your Brain” Please pick up information/permission slip in the office or from Mr. Shattuck.

We have a good-for-the earth message.  CMS will be able to win up to $1,000 if enough parents come to the Cooler Concord Fair.  It’s at CCHS on February 4, from 10-4. The Fair will feature simple ways to save energy and money.  CMS volunteers are needed for short shifts.  See Principal Rosenshine’s update for more information. We hope all CMS families stop in.  Ask your parents to RSVP at coolerconcord.org.

Animals and Planet Club next meetings​ are Wednesdays​ 2/1 and 2/15 ​from 2:30-3:40 in the Sanborn Main Lab. ​We are working on the endangered animal project and helping some local shelters and organizations.
