Minecraft Club meets again on Wednesday, January 25 in the Peabody computer lab from 2:30-3:30. At dismissal, Sanborn students should take bus 14 over to Peabody and come upstairs to the lab. Meetings are planned for the following dates: Jan. 25, Feb. 1, 15, March 8 , 22, April 5, 26, May 3, 17,31 and June 14.
Intramural floor hockey will be held Mondays and Wednesdays in the Peabody gym from 2:30-4:30. Take bus 14 at dismissal.
Science Olympiad meets every Monday and Wednesday in room 108 until 4:30.
YEARBOOK: For the month of January we will be having Yearbook meetings every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. All meetings are held in room 206 at Sanborn from 2:30- 3:40. Please check the calendar in Google Classroom for meeting end times because some meetings will run later than 3:40.
We have a good-for-the earth message. CMS will be able to win up to $1,000 if enough parents come to the Cooler Concord Fair. It’s at CCHS on February 4, from 10-4. The Fair will feature simple ways to save energy and money. CMS volunteers are needed for short shifts. See Principal Rosenshine’s update for more information. We hope all CMS families stop in. Ask your parents to RSVP at coolerconcord.org.
Sign ups for Chef’s Club will take place this week. Our first meeting time will be Thursday Feb 2nd from 2:30-4:30 in the Sanborn FACS room. We will meet on 4 dates: Feb 2, 9, 16 and March 3. Only sign up if you can attend ALL 4 Thursdays!! There is room for 20 students: 10 from Sanborn, 10 from Peabody. Students will be RANDOMLY picked from the list of students who sign up.
Intramural basketball we will meet every Thursday and Friday from 2:30-4:30 in the Peabody gym. These are the additional meeting dates: 1/26, 1/27, 2/2 and 2/3. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Stern or Mr. Rubin. Take bus 14 at dismissal to Peabody.
Media TV meets again on Thursday, Jan 26 from 2:30-3:40 in room 102 at Sanborn. We will also meet on Feb 9, March 2, March 16, March 30, April 13, April 27, May 11 and May 25.
Animals and Planet Club next meetings are Wednesdays 2/1 and 2/15 from 2:30-3:40 in the Sanborn Main Lab. We are working on the endangered animal project and helping some local shelters and organizations. Come join us and help animals, our environment and the community.Contact Ms. Peskin or any member of Animals and Planet with questions.
Model UN will meet again Thursday, February 2 at Sanborn from 2:30-3:40. We will be continuing our country and topic research for the Bentley Model UN Conference. By the February 2 meeting at the latest, we will need to collect a $50 delegate fee made payable to CMS if you are planning to attend the Bentley Model UN Conference on March 18, 2017. All information for the conference is now posted and available on the CMS Model UN Google Classroom.
