7th and 8th graders are invited to sign-up for interscholastic basketball try-outs. The sign-up sheets are at the office in each building. All students must have a current physical on file with the nurse and a completed try-outs expectation form handed in to the office before the first try-out on Monday, November 28. Forms can be downloaded from the website.
On 11/28, boys will try-out at Sanborn from 2:30-4:30. Girls will tryout at Peabody from 2:30-4:30. Please see the community events calendar for updates on try-out locations and times.
Lego Robotics: Meets every Thursday and Friday from 2:30 – 4:30 at Sanborn in room 108. If you have any questions contact Ms. Moss at smoss@concordps.org.
8th Grade Reminder: The deadline to sign-up for this year’s Washington Trip is Wednesday, November 30th. If you still need a registration form, please get one from the Sanborn or Peabody office. All Parent Information for the trip, except the Registration Form, is available online through the CMS Website. There is an Information Form that needs to be filled out and turned in by all families going on the trip.
Math Counts meets every Friday at Sanborn in room 101 from 2:30 to 3:40. Students who enjoy mathematics prepare for and participate in a regional math tournament solving problems as a team and as individuals. Success can lead to state and national tournaments. Advisor: Aram Boornazian
The Media AV club’s next meeting will be Thursday,December 1 from 2:30-3:30 in room 102 at Sanborn. Bring a laptop and a sense of humor, as we will be creating slides to announce each of the school clubs.

Peabody Announcement:
Peabody 6th graders! Green Team sign ups are posted in the front office and on Ms. Moran’s door at Peabody. Sign up this week to join us! Meetings will be two Wednesdays per month from 2:30-3:30pm. We will join students from the Sanborn Green Team as well. The goal of our club is to make CMS a more green community as a group while having fun.

The CMS Engineer’s Club field trip to MIT on Friday November 25 has been cancelled. The Next Science on Saturday trip will be December 3 leaving Sanborn at 9AM. Pick up an information and permission form in the office.This month’s focus will be Physics and will be presented by MIT’s Women of Physics. The bus will leave Sanborn at 9AM and return around 1:30 PM. Lunch can be purchased at the MIT Student Center. Parents and siblings are encouraged to attend. Pick up a permission slip in the Office for more details.
Model UN will meet again at Sanborn on Thursday, December 1 from 2:30-3:40. We will be continuing our practice simulation. Please note a change to our previous schedule, now at our meeting on Thursday, December 15 we will be assigning countries and topics for the spring 2017 Bentley University Conference . If you want your first choice, please attend this meeting or have a partner attend (only groups of 2 or 3 allowed). Please contact Mr. Robbins or Mr. Murphy with any questions.
