Good Evening Everyone!
CMS Musical: We are leading up to the CMS musical, The Little Mermaid. Over 75 students are involved with this production which has been in the works since December. Performances are at Sanborn, April 8th and 9th at 7:00 pm, and April 10th at 2:30 pm. There is also a preview performance on April 5th at 6:30 pm. If you are interested in attending, there are still a few tickets left. Order online at http://www.ticketstage.com/CONCORDMS.
To support the 7th grade’s Iron Giraffe Challenge, there is an option to donate to the “Water for South Sudan” project. If the students meet their $25,000 goal, founder Salva Dut will visit Concord Middle School and our name will be placed on a well. Students continue to work hard on this challenge. It’s been impressive to watch.
MICCA Festival: Band, Chorus and Orchestra
On April 1st, 2nd and 3rd, several of our CMS music ensembles attended the Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association (MICCA) State Concert Festival: The 6th Grade Band, 7th/8th Grade Band, Honors Choir, and the Festival Orchestra. The CMS 6th Grade Band and 7th/8th Grade Band both earned Silver Medal ratings! This is the second year in a row that the bands at CMS have achieved this excellent rating. The CMS Honors Choir earned a Silver Medal rating! This is the second year in a row that the Honors Choir has achieved this excellent rating.
Term 2 Report Cards: In case you missed the announcement, the parent portal was opened for viewing of Term 2 report cards last Tuesday. Please check your child’s grade report, and contact teachers or guidance with any questions.
