Principal’s Update 20 February 28, 2016
Principal’s Update 20 2.26.16
Hello Everyone,
I hope you have enjoyed the beautiful, and eventually warm, weather this weekend. Though it was a weekend, things were busy at CMS: Over 30 students traveled with Mr. Shattuck to the Framingham State College Christa McAuliffe Center to participate in the Mission to Mars exhibit, and the set crew for this year’s musical, The Little Mermaid held a construction day.
Please see brief updates and a list of March events below. To refer back to this or past Principal’s Updates at https://cms.concordps.org, please go to the About menu, select Principal’s Updates, and click on the date of the update you would like to view to see the whole communication.
Have a wonderful week!
Best,
Lynne
Brief Updates
Winter Dance Success!
The winter dance facilitated by a group of 7th grade students for 6th and 7th graders was a tremendous success. The students coordinated all of the details, including decorations, posters and refreshments to be sold. In all, they raised just over $2,2280 for the Iron Giraffe Challenge with funds going to the Water for South Sudan organization.
Daily Announcements: https://cms.concordps.org
There are three ways to access the Daily Announcements on our new web site. You may use either the Student or the Parent pull-down menu, or select “Read More” in the Daily Announcements section on the main page of the web site. In all three locations, you initially view only a summary paragraph. In order to view the full update for any day formatted for proper viewing, click on the date you are seeking.
Spring Sports and Student Physicals
Students intending to participate in spring interscholastic sports must have a current physical on file in order to try out. Please ensure that the physical will be current throughout the season. Unfortunately, a student whose physical expires during the season will not be allowed to continue to participate. Please note, this applies only to interscholastic teams, not to intramural sports or other activities.
Upcoming Events: https://cms.concordps.org
The CMS Community Events Calendar is now connected to the DIstrict Events feed. You will be able to view and subscribe to a calendar containing all CMS Events (as well as other CPS events) by clicking “View All Events” at the bottom of the Upcoming Events section on the main page of the web site.
