Welcome to the Family & Consumer Science Program (FACS)
The Family & Consumer Science Program (FACS) is available to all seventh-grade students, with classes held twice a week throughout the school year. FACS is a key component of the middle school’s Comprehensive Health Education program, alongside health and physical education, as outlined in the Massachusetts Department of Education Health Curriculum Frameworks.
The FACS curriculum aims to equip students with the attitudes, knowledge, and skills necessary for responsible and effective life management. This program supports students as they take on more responsibilities at home and in their communities. FACS emphasizes the importance of positive social interaction, fostering tolerance, compassion, and cooperation.
