Welcome to the Health Department

Health is taught in 7th grade, with classes meeting twice per cycle throughout the school year. The curriculum is aligned with the National Health Education Standards and Massachusetts Comprehensive Health Framework, and is designed to support students as they learn to make thoughtful, healthy choices in their everyday lives. Through engaging discussions, role-playing activities and hands-on assignments, students build practical skills to analyze influences on their health, find reliable information, practice health-enhancing behaviors, communicate effectively, set personal goals, and advocate for their well-being and that of others.
