Math Team

CMS's Concord and Divide is a competing math team in the ILEM math league.

Practices:

  • Thursdays in Room 205 at Sanborn from 2:30-3:40pm. Prepare to take the late bus or have a ride at that time
  • There will be no practice if there is no school or otherwise announced
  • Snack time! Busy minds work best when fueled and ready to go. If possible, the students would be really grateful if parents donate some goodies for snack time. A google doc will be generated for parents to sign up for snack time. Parents can either send their student in with the snacks or snacks can be dropped off at the main office. A million thank you’s in advance!

Meets:

  • Our math team competes against 4 other teams throughout the school year until May
  • 4 out of the 5 meets will be away, Concord will host 1 meet at Peabody Middle school in January
  • For meets, there is one competing team and one alternate team
  • We will take a bus to every away meet. The bus will leave directly after school and return around 6:00pm. Snacks are provided at meets, but it is encouraged to pack a little something extra. Homework can be done also on the bus or during downtime at the meet.
  • Our first meet is TBA, I will let you know AS SOON as I do 🙂
