Back to School Night for Sanborn is TONIGHT and Peabody is Thursday, October 5 from 6:45-8:30 pm.
The first meeting of Green Team is today from 2:30-3:30 in room 109 at Sanborn. The Green Team is a place to channel your energy and enthusiasm toward acting on environmental issues. The team will plan events, initiatives, and other earth-friendly activities of interest to the group. All are welcome! See Ms F-D or Ms Liu if you have questions.
Model United Nations meets today in Sanborn Library from 2:30-3:40. All students in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade are welcome to come learn about our club. Please see Mr. Murphy or Mr. Robbins if you have any questions.
Math Team’s first meeting is today from 2:30-3:40 in Ms. Helinski’s room (227) at the Peabody building. Sanborn students please take bus 30 at dismissal! Prior to 9/28, please fill out this form if you are interested.
Magic the Gathering meets today in Sanborn rm 102 from 2:30 to 3:30. Come and join whether you want to learn how to play or want to find friends to battle in this strategic fantasy card game! See Mr. Connor with any questions.
Lego Robotics meets every Thursday and Friday in room 108 at Sanborn from 2:30-4:30. Please contact Ms. Moss for more information.
Ultimate Frisbee will meet from 2:30 to 4:30 on Thursdays and Fridays. No prior experience with Ultimate is necessary, all skill levels are welcome and will play. Students don’t need to attend every meeting – come when you can a bring a friend! If you don’t take the bus or walk, make sure you’ve arranged for a ride to pick you up at 4:30.
Math Counts meets every Friday in room 101 at Sanborn until 3:40. All are welcome!!!
Animals and Planet Club next meeting is Wednesday, 10/4 from 2:30-3:40 in the Sanborn Main Lab (and every other Wednesday). The Animals and Planet club is part of Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots organization. We create and plan projects that make positive changes happen for animals, the environment and our communities. Plan to take the 3:40 late bus or have a parent pick you up at 3:40.
Science Olympiad: There will be an informational meeting about Science Olympiad on Wednesday, October 4th from 2:30 – 3:40. The following week, the regular Science Olympiad meetings begin and go from 2:30 – 4:30 every Monday & Wednesday. Come to Room 108 at Sanborn to find learn more about Science Olympiad. If you are unable to attend the first meeting, contact Ms. Moss. All are welcome.
