Attention 6th graders: This past Tuesday Mr. Cameron sent the permission slip for the Adventure In, Adventure Out field trip through email to all 6th grade parents. The permission slip is due to the main office no later than Wednesday, October 4th. 6th grade House 1 is scheduled for this field trip Friday, October 6; 6th grade House 4 is scheduled for October 13. There are additional copies of the permission slip in the main office.
Coats for Kids Club meets today from 2:30-3:40 in the Sanborn FACS room. Join us in planning our annual coat drive. ALL ARE WELCOME!!

Back to School Night for Sanborn is Thursday, September 28 and Peabody is Thursday, October 5 from 6:45-8:30 pm.
The first meeting of GreenTeam will be this Thursday 9/28 from 2:30-3:30 in room 109 at Sanborn. The Green Team is a place to channel your energy and enthusiasm toward acting on environmental issues. The team will plan events, initiatives, and other earth-friendly activities of interest to the group. All are welcome! See Ms F-D or Ms Liu if you have questions.
Chef’s Club sign ups have been posted by the office. Our first meeting time will be Thursday October 5th from 2:30-4:30 in the Sanborn FACS room. We will meet for 4 Thursdays, Oct 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th.Only sign up if you can attend ALL 4 Thursdays!! There is room for 20 students: 10 from Sanborn, 10 from Peabody. Students will be RANDOMLY picked from the list of students who sign up.
Model United Nations will meet for the first time on Thursday, 9/28 in Sanborn Library from 2:30-3:40. All students in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade are welcome to come learn about our club. Please see Mr. Murphy or Mr. Robbins if you have any questions.
Math Team’s first meeting will be on Thursday 9/28 from 2:30-3:40 in Ms. Helinski’s room (227) at the Peabody building. Sanborn students please take bus 30 at dismissal! Prior to 9/28, please fill out this form if you are interested.
Magic the Gathering will have its first meeting on Thursday 9/28 in Sanborn rm 102 from 2:30 to 3:30. Come and join whether you want to learn how to play or want to find friends to battle in this strategic fantasy card game! See Mr. Connor with any questions.

Lego Robotics meets every Thursday and Friday in room 108 at Sanborn from 2:30-4:30. Please contact Ms. Moss for more information.
Ultimate Frisbee will meet from 2:30 to 4:30 on Thursdays and Fridays. No prior experience with Ultimate is necessary, all skill levels are welcome and will play. Students don’t need to attend every meeting – come when you can a bring a friend! If you don’t take the bus or walk, make sure you’ve arranged for a ride to pick you up at 4:30.
Math Counts meets every Friday in room 101 at Sanborn until 3:40. All are welcome!!!
Animals and Planet Club next meeting is Wednesday, 10/4 from 2:30-3:40 in the Sanborn Main Lab (and every other Wednesday). The Animals and Planet club is part of Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots organization. We create and plan projects that make positive changes happen for animals, the environment and our communities. Plan to take the 3:40 late bus or have a parent pick you up at 3:40.
