Dear Families, I hope you enjoyed the long weekend. This week I am writing regarding the Massachusetts PARCC testing, scheduled for this spring. As we did last year, Concord Public Schools is participating in the computer-based PARCC tests. This year, the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education consolidated the annual state assessments to occur during a single testing window, late April through early June. At CMS we are scheduling differently this year to ensure appropriate support for our students. As a result, our overall testing window will run from April 27 through May 24. Spring Cleaning? Please donate gently used clothing and shoes to Cradles to Crayons! Project 351 is leading a Cradles to Crayons drive right here in Concord MA. We are working alongside with 272 other towns to possibly help over 50,000 children. This is the largest youth drive in the state’s and Project 351’s history! Donate infant sizes to adult small and medium clothes and infant to adult size 10 shoes. Boxes are in the Peabody and Sanborn Lobby. Pokemon meets today in the Sanborn FACS room until 3:40.
